Selecting the "Current Month" or "Current Month - abbr. name" as a rename option uses the current month in either a numeric format (MM) or an abbreviated name format in the renamed file name.  This can be combined with Auto-Rename: Year and/or Auto-Rename: Day to create a custom date format in the renamed file name.
